Hello Sweet Peeps,

Sending you some ’clouds in your coffee’ (talk about lyrics with an impact) and good cheer this very day of the year. We’re coming up on the last week of July and seems like just yesterday was the 4th!

Thanks for reading my little blast week after week. I’ve been at this for about 12 years now - like WOW. I’m never sure if I land in your junk mail or get deleted or read or what? In these modern times where everyone is vying for your eyes to read and time to lend, its hard to not be diverted in ten directions. I do love seeing you at shows I produce or play and hearing back from you when you offer a kind word or mention something that hit you in the heart. There’s great performers out there (like Jackie Bristow/Mark Punch) and I’m really grateful when you come and feel the music. It really does heal. In these divisive times, ya gotta ask, "am I angry? bitter? pissed? intolerant? mean?" Even if there’s a 100 reasons to feel all of those things, passing along those emotions don’t help change anything one bit. I decided I’m going to stand for LOVE no matter what. No matter what. Yes I’m being tested on a daily basis. Makes sense now why my Mom and Dad always prayed a lot - and I sing a lot - Staying positive and saying things in love is much easier said than done - no matter what, ya with me?

A big thanks for coming to my special show last week for Jackie, I have 2 bigs ones in August - see below. This Saturday night my band, Fields of Eden, will be at Caffe Trieste - its free - its fun - its easy, c’mon over and enjoy the memorable music. The Link of the Week is a funny and clever music video - I enjoyed it - as well as his others. Enjoy! Have a playful week and thanks again for your great support.

Jazzy Folk Style

Hannah has a very enjoyable sound and her jazzy folk style is crowd pleasing. She’s a great player, songwriter with a great voice.

About: Born and raised in Minnesota, Hannah Cooper is a singer-songwriter with a sound that truly defies categorization. In seeing her perform live, you will experience her years of jazz guitar training, her classical choral background, and fine folk storytelling delivered with brave theatrical flair. She can fluently paint scenery, evoke emotions, and tell complete stories with her sound. Careful listeners may hear multiple stories layered in her songs` chords, textures and lyrics. Evoking powerful subconscious emotions and layering on profoundly philosophical lyrics that speak to our consciousness, she is able to create music that is sim . . . More »

About: Tom Faia became known in Nashville and LA for his clever and infectious music. Crooner & Keys

He’s a bluesy cat and I love him. One heck of a keyboard player too - pairs well with wine!

About: Tom Lawson, although known primarily as keyboardist/vocalist with Monterey area bands such as Blues at Eleven, strips the music down to the core of the blues experience with his solo piano and vocal performance. The music is selected from the birth of recorded blues in the 1920s onward, but it is more than just a history lesson. Each song tries to capture the emotion of the original performance and to involve the listener in the story that each song tells. Tom says,"It is one thing to play the notes but to communicate emotion demands more. I hope to do this every time I am in front of an audience."

Western Folk Rock Horse Opera Freddy Steady Krc Live At The Lab
It’s a tale of tragedy, heartbreak, desperation, love, and pursuit of the American dream, set in a time when that dream was everything. In the wild west of America in the middle 19th century, dreams were pursued, fulfilled, dashed, and altered. But always pursued. It’s how the country found its destiny gradually from the east coast to the west. From the mind of American musician Freddie Steady Krc comes the tale of Tucson, a love story set in the wild country of the developing west. The tale of a cowboy named Sonny and his undying love for Kara Lee in the face of tragedy began as a concept album originally recorded by Krc’s Shakin’ . . . More »     Read more about it here
