This Saturday, The Firefly Band will delight you with your favorite songs you will easily recognize and find yourself dancing to. Enjoy the best Mexican food while you tap your toes. Kate Daniel (Vocals) - Kate was discovered by her choir director in middle school. In high school and college she performed in musicals, various choirs and a capella vocal ensembles. Although an early fan of the Beatles, Doobie Brothers and Crosby, Stills & Nash, it was not until the 1980s that she was recruited into the world of rock and roll by her husband (Chris). She has been playing in rock bands ever since.

Chris Daniel (Bass and Vocals) - Chris started out on guitar at the age of 15 and grew up on the riffs of Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen and Angus Young. He studied guitar at the Musicians Institute’s in Hollywood, CA in the early 1980s. In 2004, while a member of Kelley and the Beachcombers, he switched to bass and has been keeping the groove ever since. Rick Pieper (Drums) - Rick, a lifelong resident of the Monterey Peninsula, started playing the local club scene in the late 1970s. He has played in some of the area’s best known bands. As a founding member of Firefly he is one of the driving forces behind the band. Ian McFadden (Guitar and Vocals) -Ian has been playing guitar for 40 years. Originally and always influenced by the Beatles, it has been all about finding that harmony. He studied music at Los Angeles City College before finally escaping the evil clutches of that metropolis in 1976. He began life in Santa Cruz playing on the street at a time when the street scene on the Pacific Garden Mall was much different than it is today. Many adventures were had in those early years. Although he began his musical journey in acoustic music, he moved into electric music about 15 years ago, and loves both sides of that musical coin. Chris Stine (Guitar and Vocals) -Chris is the newest member to join Firefly. Originally from Long Island, NY, Chris has been playing in rock bands since the 1970s - most recently with Blues Berry Jam, Phat Chants, and Black Water Station. His primary influences are The Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. His stage setup includes a Fender Stratacaster and a Gibson Les Paul through a Mesa Boogie Amp. He has made numerous modifications to both guitar and amps to dial in a sweet and rocking tone.
