Jesse Kalin has been pursuing and perfecting his first love: music. Jesse’s original band, Moon Dogs, traveled extensively across the United States in the early 90’s opening for such artists as Peter Frampton, Chicago, REO Speedwagon, Starship, Orleans, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band and a host of others. His band Cool Black Kettle, which he formed in the late 90’s released “Move On” in 2002, and is still being played on national and international radio stations. Currently, Jesse is excited about focusing his creative talents on his solo career and is writing and recording in his home town of Lake Tahoe, California, with plans to release his first CD sometime in 2012.
When Jesse is performing with his band, as a duet, and more recently as a solo artist, his passion for music can be heard and felt in each and every song he plays. Influenced by a wide variety of musicians and musical genres, Jesse captures a distinctive style in both his cover and original music. His dynamic live performance incorporates vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, harmonica and flute and has been described as “grass roots American groove”.
Whether you enjoy the classic rock sounds of Eric Clapton, The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd, the country styling’s of Lyle Lovett and the Zac Brown Band or the softer sounds of James Taylor, David Grey and Van Morrison, Jesse has something to offer for every taste.
In addition, Jesse’s original work will have you clapping for more. His talent, charisma and energy guarantees a unique experience at every performance and you will see why he has been voted the “Best of Tahoe” over seven times.
