Eclectic Pop

Who is Fergus? Imagine a mix of David Bowie with a little twist of Prince and just a touch of Regina Spector and that will get you close. On his journeys from England to the Americas and beyond, Fergus has cultivated an eclectic sound with multi instrumentation and styles that follow his musical exploration. To experience music with him at a live performance is to experience the full sound. Fergus is singer songwriter from Bedford England where he began his music career playing guitar in local pubs and clubs. After getting a taste for the musical life he decided to tour and play with different bands and artists around the UK. After taking on a degree in Music Technology Fergus decided to teach guitar abroad in Kings Canyon National Park. His adventures then bought him to Monterey where he is currently gigging and recording new material. Last year Fergus released his first full length album called Castillo De Invierno which was recored in the UK over the space of 3 years. The album was played on KVCR and toured along the coast of California. You can describe his music as a mix of indie/rock with influences from Regina Spector, Ben Folds and Weezer with the occasional melancholic twists of The Smiths and Shawn Mullins. He is currently working on a new EP which should be released independently in the Fall.
