Nicole is a well trained singer and wonderful songwriter, as is Marky Starks. Together I know their harmonies are going to soar.
About Nicole Dillenberg
After thirty years in Los Angeles, Nicole is proud to make the Central Coast her home. A former concert artist, hard times and heartbreak turned her towards songwriting. In 2012, Nicole released a new EP of original material inspired by Tin Pan Alley composers, “The Original Standards Project,” which featured jazz all-stars Dan Lutz, Ray Brinker (Tierney Sutton band), and John Boswell. In 2014, Nicole had the honor of having her original song, "Planned For Love", demoed on Sugar Joans (season 7; The Voice). “Lies For Christmas,” her original song performed by the Cement River jam band, was used in the feature film “The Co-exist Comedy Tour” (Starz network). An upcoming folk-pop CD, "Poison Tide" features some of the finest players in Central California and Scandinavia. Recent projects have included a Joan Baez tribute with Dan (Bald) Dylan.
About Marky Starks
In addition to being a music promoter of house concerts, the Ugly Mug in Soquel and a KPIG fixture, Marky is also a songwriter.
Some of her songs are clever and funny and others explain the countryside where she lives. Sprinkled in are covers that have meaning for her and her audience.
